Amit Levi was born on April 10, 2001, the twin sister of Shani. She grew up and was educated in the city of Holon.
Amit was a combat soldier and commander in the Lavi HaBeek’a Battalion, serving in a meaningful combat role along the border.
Amit was an optimistic person who saw the good in everything, no matter how many challenges were in her path. She never let fear or doubts play a role.
After being discharged from the army, Amit worked as a security guard for about a year and bought a ticket for her big trip she planned for December 2023.
Everyone saw and knew that Amit was a fighter through and through, and she remained so until that fateful Saturday, even in the last unimaginable moments, choosing to say, “What needs to happen will happen; it’s predetermined.”
On October 7, 2023, Amit went to the Nova festival with her twin sister Shani and her good friend Inbar Shem-Tov.
Around 8:10 am, terrorists fired at their vehicle. They fled on foot towards the festival, saw a yellow trash container, and entered it. They stayed in the container for about three and a half hours until 11:47 AM, when a terrorist entered and fired in all directions. Amit and Inbar were murdered, while Shani was injured but survived.
